So, You Think You Want To Buy a Business?

 Is business ownership right for you? What skills and personality traits are most often successful? Being a business owner can be very rewarding but it certainly not  easy. You will make many sacrifices and probably work harder than you ever have before. We too see all the ads for "buy an ugly, easy or absentee business", we can discuss the validity and accuracy of those claims but suffice it to say, this is not east street, its Main Street.  

Owning a business is very different from corporate life or working for a salary. The success of the business will rely on decisions you make and actions you take. It will not "just happen". We will work with you to set realistic expectations of what your business and your life will be like as an owner. If you are used to corporate accounting ie;(GAAP), you will have a fairly steep learning curve to understand small business financial reporting. No one runs their business to see how much tax they can pay, so what can you really learn from looking at tax returns? 

During our first call we discuss your business goals and expectations. We will explore what you want from owning your own business be and discuss price ranges, earnings you can expect from that price range and how the buying process work.
